World's Best Granola

The name of this website is Granola Girl because of my love for granola. Not just any granola, but this specific recipe. I have made this so many times I could probably do it with my eyes closed. It is sweet, nutty, crunchy, cinnamony, and delicious. This granola can top smoothies, oatmeal, plant-based yogurt, cereal, toast, or can be eaten by itself as a snack. This is my go-to recipe, and is guaranteed to blow your mind. This recipe is adapted from Simple Vegan Blog.

RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup chopped or slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 325°F. In a large bowl, combine the oats, almonds, sunflower seeds, walnuts, and cranberries. Mix until evenly dispersed. Add the cinnamon and mix until the dry ingredients are evenly coated. In a pot on the stove, heat the water, maple syrup, and vanilla until just warmed. Pour the mixture into the large bowl of dry ingredients and mix until evenly coated. Pour the granola onto a baking tray, and spread as evenly as possible. Bake for 20 minutes and then stir the granola. Try to move the granola in the middle of the tray to the outside of the tray in order to ensure the granola is evenly crunchy. Bake for another 10 minutes, and then let cool. Once cooled, enjoy!
